About Ms. Stuart

Ms. Stuart is originally from Oregon, but spent many years living on the seacoast side of New Hampshire in Milton.  She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Southern NH University in Manchester, specializing in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.  She moved to Tennessee in 2008 and stayed there for 11 years where she taught kindergarten for eight years, first grade for two years, and third grade for one year.  Ms. Stuart completed her Master’s degree in 2017 at Carson-Newman University in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on reading foundations.  

Ms. Stuart has two sons:  Johnathan, age 8 and Travis, age 7.  She owns a home in Claremont where she lives with her sons and four dogs.  She enjoys many hobbies, including cross-stitching, puzzles, diamond painting, and reading historical fiction.  Her favorite animals are pigs and you can find many little pigs scattered around her kindergarten room.  Kindergarten is her favorite grade to teach.  She loves the energy and enthusiasm of her students and their eagerness to learn everything.
