Ms. Coolidge Newsletter
November 1-3, 2017
What a crazy, mixed up week!? We all were happy to get back to school on Wednesday, after that wild wind storm, (and for some of us to the comfort of light, water and heat!?). These past few days we have been finishing up various fun Halloween activities, including voting for what kind of a face we wanted on our giant pumpkin, carving it, and estimating and counting the seeds (from ‘5 to a lot, maybe 185’). We’ve been sharing our “what scares us, and what can we do…” stories too.
On Friday we are looking forward to our Masked Parade in the morning and our Literacy Celebration (complete with students dressed up as storybook characters) in the afternoon.
Kindergartners have reviewed the letters/sounds for Aa, Mm, Pp, Ss, and Tt. In Math we have been focusing on ordering by size.
REMINDER: “Miss Nelson is Missing”
On Monday November 6 Grades PreK/K, 1&2,3&4 will be traveling by bus to Hanover to see a special performance of “Miss Nelson is Missing”! We probably won’t be back until @ 11:45 a.m., as the show is from 10-11 a.m. We will take our snacks.
Conference slips attached. No school for students next Friday. “4 Winds - Worms” on Thursday!
Don’t forget to turn your clocks back this weekend. Enjoy :)
