Dear Parents,

Happy Groundhog Day!

Our students have been super busy this week!  While we are still finishing up the iReady testing in math and reading, our students are also hard at work in all their classes:

Comparing and contrasting with adjectives and Venn diagrams with Ms. Clement;
Analyzing characters in The Graveyard Book with Ms. Dangelo;
Kindergarteners studied animal tracks, diet, fur and skull patterns with Ms. Coolidge and 4 Winds;
Applying basic statistics such as Mean, Median, Mode and distribution graphs with Ms. U;
Studying Ancient Egyptian culture with Ms. Tilton;
Researching one of the 50 states in our Library with Ms. Jones;
Deciphering decimals and place value with Mr. Budner;
Testing acids in science class and developing their Science Fair projects with Ms. Parrott.
Our Robotics Club members are also hard at work on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Mr. Proehl, Mr. Lynch and Ms. Jones.  Our Basketball teams are all playing at Home against Mascoma tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 3; please come out and cheer them on at 11 am, noon and 1:00 pm in our gym.  Home games are also scheduled for the afternoons of Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 5 and 6.

Congratulations to students whose artwork is currently being shown at the Claremont Opera House gallery.  The theme is Kindness in Action, and the students’ work will be displayed through February 19.  Thanks to Ms. O’Connor for making that happen!
