Dear Parents,

Today’s weather turned out to be far too cold to ski after all, so we had to postpone our ski program and have regular instruction here instead.  Our final Ski/LIFE Friday will be February 15; those participating in the ski program will head to Sunapee; those attending CCBA will be going to the Montshire Museum instead, as the CCBA was not able to accommodate our group on this makeup date.

In spite of the cold and indoor recess this week, our students have been busy….

  • Choosing Spring versus More Winter and writing about their reasons with Ms. Coolidge;

  • Starting a volleyball unit in PE with Mr. Holloway;

  • Reading A Giraffe and a Half in PreK with Ms. Dyke;

  • Examining primate behavior with Mr. Colombo;

  • Sequencing story elements with Ms. Varga;

  • Making fraction flipcharts with Ms. Udelhofen;

  • Separating syllables, practicing grammar and punctuation with Ms. Clement Edwards;

  • Previewing new books with Ms. Jones;

  • Solving ratio and percentage word problems in 6th grade with Mr. Budd;

  • Telling time through games with Ms. Sinclair;

  • Participating in the Geography Bee, led by Ms. Tilton. Congratulations to our winner, Sean Kelliher!
