Language Arts & Social Studies

I teach 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Cornish Elementary School. I grew up in Windsor, and went to Castleton State College for my degrees in American Literature and Secondary Education. I worked as a special education paraprofessional at Cornish for seven years, while taking creative writing and history courses. I started working as a teacher in the fall of 2013, and I graduated with my master's degree in Teaching English at the Secondary Level, with a concentration in Teaching Writing at Plymouth State University in May, 2018. I am the 8th grade adviser, and I plan the DC trip and food drives. In my free time, I love to read and write (particularly history, classic literature, and fantasy/science fiction), as well as swim, walk, camp and hike mountains. I also love to sew and garden, and I am a Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who geek. I like to watch bad movies with my friends, and good movies with my husband. I love to play and cuddle with my rescue mutt, Bernadette. I absolutely love teaching at Cornish.
